Description
The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Astro-Med, Inc./Grass Technologies, West Warwick, RI to provide two (2) COMET XL 35-Channel Digital PSG Record & Review Systems and related accessories for VAMC Iron Mountain, 325 H Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801. Astro-Med, Inc./Grass Technologies is the only manufacturer of COMET XL 35-Channel Digital PSG Record & Review Systems that offers virtually unlimited montages, off-line or in real-time, with the intuitive Montage Editor. The Montage Editor uses a graphical head-stamp interface for programming scalp montages, plus an Invasive Electrode montage creator which will automatically name the electrodes, create referential output montages, and create bipolar output montages by Row or Column. User-defined average-reference montages, channel types, and trace colors can also be defined. The Montages used for a given study are also stored with the EEG data for retrieval during review or in the future when reviewing archived data. In addition, the physicians at the VAMC Madison, WI read VAMC Iron Mountains, MI NPSG?s (Sleep Studies). In order for the VAMC Iron Mountain and VAMC Madison to share information, the equipment needs to be compatibility. To the best of our knowledge, no other equipment is compatible except the COMET XL 35-Channel Digital PSG Record & Review Systems. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334510. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation. Name: Great Lakes Acquisition Center (69D/GLAC) Street 1: 5000 W.
