- Contractor to provide all management, tools, labor, equipment and materials to ensure snow/ice removal services are performed at the Hunter Holmes McGuire, VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23249 in a manner that will maintain a satisfactory and safe environment in accordance with the terms and conditions of this contract. The base period will be from date of award through September 30, 2007 with four (4) one-year options to extend. During light snowfalls (less than 6") all roadways and parking lots to be cleared and sanded (if needed) within 12 hours. When heavy (greater than 6") or extended snowfalls occur roadways and parking lots are to be cleared and sanded (if needed) within 24 hours and might require the contractor to maintain a working crew for extended periods of time. Snow removal services will begin within two hours after notification by the Chief, Facility Management Service (FMS) or his designee. The NAICS code is 561790 with a small business size standard of $6.5M. This procurement is 100% small business set-aside. The cost range is between $25,000-$100,000. The solicitation will be available for download at the Business Opportunities System website on or about December 8, 2006. Bidders are responsible for downloading any and all documents pertaining to this solicitation from the website. Paper solicitations will not be issued. Electronic/Fax bids are not acceptable. Quotes are due on or before January 3, 2007 at 4:30 p.m. local time.
