Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems , San Diego (SSC San Diego) is seeking potential sources that are interested in responding to a future solicitation for a Low Rate Information Transmission (LRIT) Hardware and Software. Designed to receive meteorological data, imagery, charts and other environmental information in digital form via digital meteorological satellite broadcasts, Specifications are attached. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS ONLY AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST. Future requirements and procurements are uncertain. The Government DOES NOT intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement. All data received in response to this request for information and/or sources sought announcement that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the government. Questions pertaining to this announcement may be directed to the POC, Dorothy Powell via e-mail at: dorothy.powell@navy.mil. The Information Statements are due by 4:00 P.M. local time on 18 December 2006 and should be submitted electronically to the POC This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The Government does not intend to award a contract solely on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Potential respondents are requested to submit your specifications, quotes, lead time for delivery, identify your cage code and Duns number and indicate whether or not your concern is a small business. Note that this RFI will also be posted on the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page under "Market Survey".
