- The Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), St. Inigoes, MD, intends to award a Small Purchase Order to CYTEC CORP., 2555 Baird Road, Penfield, NY 14526, on a Sole Source basis for procurement of 4 Data Controller Module Cytec Model 11123F RSM/8x8 Ruggadized Mainframes,in order to provide technical and operational support for the United States Special Operation Command (USSOCOM) Combatant Program. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Data Controller Module Cytec Model 11123F RSM/8x8 Ruggadized Mainframes, Cytec Corporation has a unique understanding of the MARK V combatant crafts to which the Data Controller Device is installed and is the only company that can comply with Weapons Specification-33610 ?Electronic Surveillance Requirements Specification? which is classified as SECRET. The required equipment must be compatible with the existing weapons system and interchangeable with previously purchased units. The Contract Line Item Number(s) (CLINs) and Descriptions for this procurement are: ** CLIN 0001 ? P/N: 11123F RSM/8x8 Data Controller Ruggadized Mainframes (Qty ?4 Unit Ea) ** This acquisition is being solicited on a Sole Source basis under the Statutory Authority Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as implemented by 10 U.S.C. 2034(c)(1). CYTEC Corporation is the only qualified manufacturer of the required equipment that will satisfy the Government?s need for intended application. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220 with a Size Standard of 750 employees. Award is anticipated by 22 December 2006, with a required delivery date of 05 February 2006. Contract is to be FOB Destination to Receiving Officer, NAWCAD, Building 8115, Villa Road, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010, and shall be Marked For (M/F) as specified. Inspection and acceptance shall be made at destination. The DPAS rating for this solicitation is N/A. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. However, interested parties may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will not pay for any information received and reserves the right to process the procurement based upon the responses received.
