- NON-LINEAR VIDEO EDITING SYSTEM: The solicitation number is FA8601-07-T-0007. The proposed contract is for the purchase of ONE (1) item as follows: CLIN 0001: Upgrade for Non-linear Video Editing System to include the following items: 1) GlobeCaster Chassis w/Fans, Power Supply & Cables, P/N 950-034-012, Qty 1, 2) Serial D1 Input (SMPTE 259M/D1) P/N 59-287, Qty 6, 3) Switcher Card ? One Gig, Rev. 8, P/N 59-316, Qty 1, 4) DSK Card ? One Gig, Rev. 4, P/N 59-320, Qty 1, 5) Clip Grab Card, P/N 59-293, Qty 2, 6) GlobeCaster Audio Mixer, P/N 59-070, Qty 1, 7) Memory Upgrade for Time Machine Board ? 64Mb, P/N 905-005-003, Qty 1, 8) Memory Upgrade for 3D DVE Warp Engine Board ? 128Mb, P/N 905-005-003, Qty 1, 9) One Day Onsite GlobalStreams Technical Support Labor to move all current GlobeCaster boards, cables, and other components to new GlobeCaster chassis, add 2nd Drive Set and Test, P/N 905-TCHSPT, Qty 1. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Southwestern Industries, Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
