- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for Introductory Flight Training and Associated Support Services. Services include, but are not limited to, flight training, ground school, lodging of students, feeding of students, local transportation for students, fire, crash and rescue, aircraft maintenance, security of all facilities, and providing office space for the military command structure to be co-located with the contractor. The contractor shall furnish adequate supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to perform all the services contemplated under this contract. The location of the training site is to be proposed by the contractor. This acquisition will be solicited as a Request For Proposal, source selection to be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15. A firm-fixed price type contract will result from this solicitation. Estimated Request for Proposal Issue Date: 21 Jul 04. Estimated Proposal Closing Date: 3 Sep 04. This will be an electronic solicitation release. No hard copies will be mailed. Solicitation, amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be posted to FedBizOpps (http://www.eps.gov). It is the responsibility of each offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to current information. The anticipated performance period will be a six month base year with ten (10) twelve month option periods. This acquisition will be conducted using Full and Open competition procedures. The government anticipates significant subcontracting activity under this contract. In order to be eligible for award, registration in the Central Contractor Registration database is required. To register, please go to http://www.ccr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is section 611512, Flight Instruction. The small business size standard is $21.5 million.
