- Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to renovate U.S. Coast Guard Station Montauk, Suffolk County, New York. The solicitation consists of a Base Bid plus Three (3) Optional Items. The Base Bid consists of the renovation work within the Station Building including but not limited to: reconfiguring first and second floor areas; repairing staircase; replacing exterior and interior doors; replacing wall finishes; repairing roof leaks; replacing/reconfiguring ductwork; providing bathroom ventilation; replacing HVAC units; replacing fire alarm system; providing telecommunications systems and equipment; providing temp. trailers with electric utility connections for USCG use and miscellaneous associated work. Optional Item #1 consists of constructing a 375 SF addition to the Station Equipment Building including reconfiguration of the toilet and wet rooms and providing proper ventilation and provide telecommunications systems and equipment. Optional Item #2 provides for the interior renovation of the Equipment Building. This Invitation for Bids is open to both large and small business participation and is estimated between $1 Million and $5 Million. A 20% Bid Bond is required and 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required after award. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220. The tentative bid opening date is 23 January 2007. Bid packages will be available on or about 14 December 2006 at a non-refundable charge of $133. Certified Checks or money orders should be made payable to AlphaGraphics and mailed to the firm at: 423 Bloomfield Ave., Montclair, NJ 07043. Do not send fees to the Coast Guard. All relevant solicitation documents including specifications and drawings may also be accessed for download for free commencing on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.fbo.gov/. Any amendments issued under this solicitation shall also be posted on this website. Vendors are required to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) at www.fedteds.gov to download the technical data package.
