- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Intelligent Search Technology, Ltd., 445 Hamilton Ave., Ste. 608, White Plains, NY 10601-1827 to upgrade the Government-owned software product NameSearch/MVS (Assembler version) to the NameSearch-z/OS (C-based version), upgrade the licensing from a Site license to a multi-platform Enterprise license and provide the associated maintenance support in the form of revised releases of the product, email and telephone-based technical support. This software is used by SSA personnel to search the Suspense file online to find names that have insertions, deletions, substitutions and reversals of letters; names without an employer identification number (EIN) or Social Security number, identify names as the correct number holder; and reinstate names to a Master Earnings File. The current contract with Intelligent Search Technology expires on April 30, 2007. SSA plans to award a replacement contract with a base year and four-one year options. Intelligent Search Technology is the only known source capable of providing the required support services with access to Intelligent Search Technology?s proprietary source code. Other firms possessing the technical expertise are invited to submit support documentation (GSA Schedule contract information), etc. by December 8, 2006. Any literature, or information submitted as a response to this notice, must contain enough information attesting to the firm?s capability to meet SSA?s requirement. The size limitation for email attachments is five megabytes per individual email message. Responses to this notice should refer to ISTCS1206. An award is anticipated by December 31, 2006. This is not a request for proposal and oral communications are not acceptable. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this publication. Numbered Note 22.
