Description

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Cubic Defense Systems, Inc. 9233 Balboa Ave, San Diego CA 92123, on a commercial Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, for the purchase of Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT) AN/ARX 3000(V), P/N 260760-1 to support the MH-60M aircraft, or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for the purchase of a commodity which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this service are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 11 December 2006. You may request a copy via e-mail to awatson@tapo.eustis.army.mil. The required ordering period and delivery dates will be FY 2007 through FY 2011 for approximately 40 units. See Note 22 and 26.
