Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions during the ordering period of Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00024-03-G-6342 with Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Sensors and Systems Division, P.O. Box 1488, Annapolis, MD. Orders will be issued for Engineering change Proposals and Kits, Inspection, Overhaul, Repair, Modification, Depot Level Maintenance, Repair Parts, Engineering Services and Support for the AN/AQS-14A & AN/AQS-24A Towed Vehicle Sonar Detecting Set. The work to be performed under each order will comply with the individual orders under the BOA. The orders under the BOA will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR6.302-1, which provides that full and open competition is not required when only one source is available to satisfy agency requirements. Northrop Grumman Corporation is the developer and designer of the AN/AQS-14A & AN/AQS-24A and is the only known company which currently possesses the in-depth technical knowledge of the equipment required to satisfactorily perform the work under the orders contemplated herein. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and the benefit of potential subcontractors. The government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source identified herein.
