Description
General: The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior, is conducting a sources sought for the work described below. This notification is for market research purposes to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully complete this effort and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This work will be included in a larger procurement to rehabilitate and restore the Grange to its historical state. Also, this is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. NPS would like interested parties to submit related project experience and resumes for key individuals to Mike Fox at Mike_Fox@nps.gov, or via fax to 303-987-6646, within 15 days of posting. Project Description: The goal of this project is to provide for the relocation of historic Hamilton Grange from its present location to an approved location in St. Nicholas Park. This project is needed to avoid further deterioration of this historic landmark and a potential loss of the resource. Parts of the building have already decayed and have been lost. The move of Hamilton Grange (referred herein as the Grange) has been anticipated for a number of years. The Grange is currently situated on the east side of Convent Avenue approximately 80 feet north of 141st Street in the Borough of Manhattan, within the Hamilton Heights Historic District. It is located between a masonry apartment building on its north side and St. Luke's Episcopal Church, an 1892 masonry building on its south side. The Grange is physically attached to a portion of the apartment building and it is approximately four feet north of the north fa?ade of the church. The challenge is to safely extricate the Grange from this very tight site and to move it to its proposed new location within an easement in St. Nicholas Park located at W 129th St. and Nicholas Terrace, while maintaining its integrity to be restored to its period of historic significance. The offeror shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies and services to perform this task. Type of Procurement: A Small Business set aside is anticipated. NAICS Codes: 238990 The National Park Service anticipates the project's dollar value to be $1,500,000. National Park Service requests that potential contractors provide information on any government contract vehicles available to the National Park Service for procuring these services.
