This is a Solicitation for quantity variation of 13 through 25 and 26 through 38 each, NSN 2840-01-440-7417, Aircraft Exhaust Frame and Part Number: 408315-01. Form/Fit/Function: Direct hot gasses to the augmenter. Material: Predominant material of manufacture is Nickel Alloy. Dimensions: Approximately 30 inches diameter x 12 inches height. Destination: Tinker AFB OK, Delivery: Delivery is to begin on May 31, 2007. The approximate solicitation issue date will be December 7, 2006. The anticipated award date will be 31 January 2007. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. AWARD WILL NOT BE WITHHELD AWAITING QUALIFICAITON. Potential sources are not to utilize intellectual property of third parties without appropriate authorization of the intellectual property owner. Potential sources are cautioned that no part of the government property qualification requirement is intended to endorse or encourage the improper use of intellectual property developed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or any other third party. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, technical capability, and past performances detailed in the solicitation. Note: an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
