- Description
- The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) seeks to award a hybrid IDIQ/Time and Materials contract for Library Related Services and Training Support for Patent Examiners and Trademark Attorneys at our Alexandria, Virginia facility. This requirement is consistent with the USPTO?s 21st Century Strategic Plan in order to reduce patent pendency and to concentrate more on the core functions of examination and granting patents. The government will award a single contract for the required services. The period of performance for this requirement is anticipated to be for a base period of one year and four additional one-year option periods. The successful offeror under the RFP will also have the possibility of earning up to a total of five additional one-year award term periods. This requirement is anticipated to be a competitive 8(a) procurement under the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code 561210. Further information will be given in the Request For Proposal (RFP). The estimated release date of the RFP is the week of December 11, 2006. The RFP will be posted on USPTO?s business opportunity Internet site at http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/ac/comp/proc/currproj.htm. Interested parties are responsible for checking the website regularly for release of the RFP and for other procurement related documents. Since all procurement-related documents will be released via the Internet, a mailing list and list of interested vendors will not be available.
