Description

Note: This acquisition involves data that are subject to export control laws and regulations. Only contractors who are registered and certified with the Defense Logistics Services Center (DLSC) shall be provided copies of the solicitation or other data subject to foreign disclosure restrictions. You may also visit www.bxa.doc.gov/licensing to obtain an export control license. You must submit a copy of your approved DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, with your proposal. Item Description: Dimensions: Approximately 83 by 37.5 inches. It is located at wing station 586. Each flap section is extended and retracted by two ball bearing drive jackscrews driven by the flap drive torque tube. Each inboard section extends and retracts on four flap tracks. Each outboard flap section extends and retracts on three flap tracks. In the flap extension cycle, all flap sections reach an angle of 35 degrees in the first 37.5% of flap extension. Further extension moves the flap sections aft on their tracks maintaining the 35 degree angle. This provides additional wing area with considerable increase of lift but with a reduction in drag compared to the 37.5% extend position. Applicable to the B-52 Aircraft. Destination: FB2039 Delivery: First Article due 270 Days after receipt of contract. Production Quantities due in incremental shipments beginning December 2008 or approximately 330 days after first article approval. Solicitation will provide greater detail. Qualification Requirements: Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to all line items. THE FOLLOWING DATES ARE APPROXIMATE. CONTRACTORS SHALL REFER TO THE ACTUAL SOLICITATION FOR THE EXACT CLOSING DATE. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 8 Dec 2006. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 7 Jan 2007. The anticipated award date will be 28 Feb 2007. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation.
