Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has the requirement for preventative, remedial, and per-call maintenance of Government owned multi-vendor computer systems and associated peripheral networking devices located at the Integrated Warfare Systems Laboratory and the Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, VA. The equipment consists mainly of Hewlett Packard, Dell, and former Digital Equipment Corporation (Compaq) CPUs (VAX, Alpha, and Intel) and peripherals and networking components from Digital Equipment Corporation and other manufacturers. The equipment list includes the following types of CPUs: DEC 8200, DEC 7710, DEC 4710, DEC 3000, ALPHAServer 8400, ALPHAServer 4100, ALPHAServer 2100, VAXStation 4000, VAX 6400, HP R8400, Storageworks, Proliant 6400, Proliant 8500, HP 9000, DEC 8200, Alpha Station 600, DECpc and others. Several of the systems are unique configurations integrated by Digital (Compaq) Custom Systems and Services for specific purposes. Principal period of maintenance (PPM) for on-call maintenance shall be 16 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 0600 - 2200, excluding federal holidays. Per-call maintenance will be applicable outside the PPM. Required response time of 4 hours. Maximum down time of 12 hours. Response time and downtime credits will be assessed. Maintenance personnel are required to possess at least a Secret level clearance. Contract term of one (1) year plus four (4) option years beginning 1 April 2007. Commercial it em solicitation N00178-07-R-2002 utilizing simplified acquisition proc edures in accordance with FAR 13.5 will be issued on or near 28 Nov 2006. Proposals will be due approximately 21 Dec 2006. Award is anticipated to be made about 1 March 2007. Proposals from all responsible sources shall be considered. The solicitation and any applicable amendments will be posted on the FBO and NECO web pages cited above and the NSWCDD Procurement Division Business Opportunities website http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply/busop.htm. Solicitations and amendments will only be available at the websites above. Hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors should regularly access one of these websites to ensure they have downloaded any and all amendments.
