Description
Secondary Transportation and Security The Joint Contracting Command-Iraq/Afghanistan (JCC-I/A) intends to issue a Request for Proposals for the procurement of secondary transportation for a variety of vehicles and equipment for the Iraqi Military Forces to various sites within Iraq in Support of the Multi-National Security Transition Command ? Iraq (MNSTC-I) on or about 25 November 2006. The nature and inherent danger involved in the performance of their responsibilities demands a high level of protective security. The contractor shall provide all personnel and training required to manage the movement of cargo. It is anticipated that the Iraqi Government may promulgate regulations, or other laws or regulations may be enacted, which govern the operation of transportation and security service contractors. The contractor shall be required to be fully mission capable with all required personnel upon the commencement of the contract. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining insurance in the types and amounts as required by the US Government or by law or regulation to include Iraqi law. The contractor shall provide qualified personnel who have appropriate weapon and identification cards in accordance with the requirements established by the US Government by law or regulation, to include Iraqi law. Inclusive in this may be appropriate weapon and identification cards required by various Middle Eastern countries and non-hostile territories as applicable. The anticipated award date for the any resultant contract is 20 DEC 2006. Award will be made pursuant to a written solicitation which will be made available through the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). The resultant contract will be comprised of a one year base period with two option periods of six months. This may be a multiple awarded IDIQ contract. JCC-I/A will consider all proposals submitted by responsible sources.
