THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY FOR PURPOSES OF CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. NO SOLICITATION CURRENTLY EXISTS NOR DOES THE GOVERNMENT INTEND TO PAY FOR ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT BIND THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION AS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Riley, Kansas is conducting market research to determine the extent of SMALL BUSINESS sources c apable of performing as prime contractors to provide: a Global Positioning Satellite System(GPSS) to be mounted on a 1998 or 1999 John Deere model 7810 tractor. The GPSS must be capable of interfacing with Raven model SCS 330 spray Controler to the exten t of reporting time and position of beginning to spray, map the spray, and when the spraying ends. The system must retain the data so that it can be downloaded or reported in real time to the current ArcView Graphic Information System software via a shape -file(.shp). Please include approximate delivery time. All responses must be in electronic format. NO telephonic responses will be accepted.
