Description

The working drawings and specifications for this design shall include, but not be limited to, areas of alterations described in this scope of work. This project involves the remodeling of 5 rooms on the 6th floor, which will add two rooms to those available to conduct sleep studies. Rooms 6E07 and 6E05 would be remodeled into two rooms of approximately equal size that would serve as sleep laboratory rooms. Likewise, Rooms 6E08 and 6E06 would be remodeled into two rooms of approximately equal size that would serve as sleep laboratory rooms. Room 6E02 would be converted into a control room. In addition to its size, which accommodates its use as a control room, Room 6E02 already has an adjacent bathroom that would be available to the technologists without their having to leave the proximity of their patients. Room 6E01 would be subdivided to serve as Nerve Conduction Velocity (MCV) and Electromyleogram (EMG) rooms. Work will include demolition and architectural, plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), HVAC control and electrical changes required to provide fully functional examination rooms. The four sleep rooms would be copper lined to eliminate the current problem with radio frequency (RF) interference. Estimated construction cost range is $250,000 to $500,000. The area of consideration is within 275 mile radius of this facility. Firms desiring consideration shall submit their qualifications and past performance of SF 330 (Architect Engineer Qualifications) and, for any consulants, on SF 330 Extra Sections E and F no later than 12/20/06.
