Description

Provide A/E Services to prepare documents for NRM project 575-06-104, Electrical Systems Corrections at the VA Medical Center, Grand Junction, CO. Services include but not limited to construction documents, site visits, investigative services, construction period services, as-built drawings. Project will correct the following: The existing electrical distribution system in Building 1 and Building 20 does not comply with current National Electric Code's (NEC) Article 517 and NFPA 99-2002, Standard for Health Care Facilities. Electrical components such as panels, cable and transfer switches are outdated with compo9nents (breakers, relays, boards) difficult to obtain and replace. Areas exist where critical electrical panels serving those areas originate from the same transfer switch and distribution buss. The Architect/Engineer (A/E) will be expected to review the current distribution system by conducting on-site investigations and by reviewing drawings and documentation. The design will be such that corrections are to be made to the distribution system providing compliance to the NEC and NFPA standards. All design and work will conform to VA Master Specifications (www.va.gov/facmgt/standards). This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Emerging Business in accordance with the Small Business Demonstration Program (FAR 19.10). NAICS IS 541330 with a Small Emerging Size Standard of $2,250,000.00 in average annual receipts for the last three fiscal years. Procurement is restricted to firms licensed in the State of Colorado. Firms desiring consideration should submit their SF 330 no later than January 5, 2007.
