If your company can meet the following requirements, specifications and salient characteristics, please email me your confirmation and interest. A combined synopsis/solicitation or RFQ will be posted to FedBizOps at a later date. All companies interested in submitting quotes must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) website and have online Reps and Certs posted on ORCA at www.orca.bpn.gov. This Sources Sought Notification will expire COB 24 November 2006. Please email your confirmation of interest in this requirement to Cherish Driver at cherish.driver@usafa.af.mil. The following information provides the salient characteristics for the High Power Single Mode Fiber Laser and Associated Electronics for the Department of Physics, USAF Academy CO: This is a Brand Name or Equal Specification for the purchase of the High Pulse Single Mode Fiber Laser w/Associated Electronics QTY: 1 EA FOB: DESTINATION ONLY The Physics Department has a requirement to purchase a high power single mode fiber laser and associated electronics. As a whole, the laser system is a device capable of capturing and delivering 20 W of continuous laser power at 1570 nm in a single mode, collimated, TEM00 beam. This will allow the safe delivery of the required laser power to experiments without sacrificing beam quality. The Physics Department preference is for the IPG Phototonics model ELT-20-C-LP-SF and associated AC/DC drive electronics. However, if your company?s product can meet the following salient characteristics it will be considered for award: System should consist of the following or be equal to: - 20 W continuous wave fiber laser - 5 meter delivery fiber - 1570 nm output wavelength (∆?=10 nm) - TEM00 output mode for beam - Linearly polarized output - Signal to background ration of 45 dB - Fine tuning resolution of 0.01 nm - Collimated 5.0 mm beam diameter at 1/e2 - Output power stability of ? 0.01 dB - Laser output fully stabilized in 15 minutes or less - Included power supply (operates on 110 VAC) Thank you for your interest in supporting the USAF Academy. Please disregard this email if your company is not interested or cannot meet the above detailed criteria. Please contact Cherish Driver is you should have any questions or concerns. Cherish Driver
