Description
Concerns having the ability to furnish the following services: The contractor shall furnish total water treatment services in regards to safety, regulatory, and performance standards established by JCAHO. Testing will be performed on all systems in regards to safety standards. Results to be established and documented in Statistical Process Control reports to the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS), 1501 San Pedro Drive SE, Albuquerque NM 87108. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THE FOLLOWING: Water treatment services will be governed by the needs of NMVAHCS in regards to safety, regulatory, and performance standards established for JCAHO. Testing will be performed on all systems on a twice per month basis in regards to all safety standards. Results to be established and documented in secure web-based reporting system for immediate access by VA staff at any time. All systems must be self-contained to permit the ultimate goal of complete product stewardship and safety. The system must be maintained with control limits on the towers as listed in the ?Technical Details?. Boilers must be maintained at present levels of control, with no scale. All contractor personnel must be licensed by local, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance with all programs. All contractor staff that provides service must hold the Certified Pesticide Applicators License (CPAL Category 11b) as required by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture for anyone applying microbiocides to cooling towers for hire. Contractor must have two licensed CPAL holders on their staff to insure proper backup. Products utilized in the steam systems must be approved for use by USDA. Concentration levels below OSHA PEL?s must be maintained. Contractor must provide licensed professional engineering (PE) services for issues related to the treated systems for no additional charge. Contractor service must be certified to ISO 9001:2000, for the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS), Medical Center 1501 San Pedro Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. The term of the contract will be Base Year with four one (1) year option periods. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 28, 2006.
