Description
Title: National Acquisition Strategy (NAS) Market Research Survey The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has authority, pursuant to Title 38 USC chapters 18, 31, 35 and 36, to provide all services and assistance necessary to enable eligible veterans with service-connected disabilities to achieve maximum independence in daily living and, to the maximum extent feasible, to become employable and to obtain and maintain suitable employment. In the discharge of this responsibility each VA Regional Office Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Service Division (VR&E) within the Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) undertakes an initial evaluation of the veteran to determine his or her eligibility and entitlement for these services and assistance; develops, in cooperation with the veteran, an Individualized Written Rehabilitation Plan (IWRP); and provides the veteran with employment placement and post-placement services or, if employment is not possible, services to enhance the veteran's independence in daily living. The objective of this contract is to provide assistance to VR&E in the following areas: (1) initial evaluation; (2) case management of veterans rehabilitative program; (3) draft IWRP development; and (4) assist the veteran in finding employment consistent with his or her aptitudes, interests and abilities or, if employment is not achievable in achieving maximum independence in daily living. The government contemplates awarding an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contracts utilizing Firm Fixed Price (FFP) task order. The NAICS Code for this effort is 624310 Vocational Rehabilitation Services. VBA is seeking participation on a survey to determine common business practices in the VR&E arena. The survey is inviting responses from the industry to determine what methodology has worked well and identify lessons learned in providing Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment services. Responses to this survey is available now at www.acqsolinc.com/Survey_VRE must be completed by December 04, 2006 4:00 PM EST. Points of contact are identified in the Survey Introduction. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
