Description
The U.S. EPA Facilities Managment and Services Division intends to competitively award a fixed price - labor hours Indefinate Delivery Indefinate Quantity contract to obtain warehouse and labor services. The intended contract is to have a base period of one year, with four one-year option periods. This procurement will be conducted as a small business set-side competition under FAR part 15. The formal solicitation and other related information and items will be posted on the Internet on or about December 15, 2006. It will be downloadable from the following website, http://www.epa.gov/oam/hpod/index.htm#solam as they become available. Interested parties are advised to periodically monitor the above website for updates concerning this procurement. Telephone inquires will not be taken. The purpose of the contract is to provide labor services and warehouse operations support for EPA headquarters locations. Service is required on a daily basis. Warehouse operations includes, but is not limited to: maintain warehouse operations; responsible for EPA property in warehouse; furnish/maintain Warehouse Management System; receive and inspect all incoming items; enter all items into the EPA System and the Warehouse Management System; forklift operations; deliver and retrieve items to/from designated storage areas in the warehouse; load and unload trucks; deliver and retrieve items from EPA, GSA, and other sites in the Washington, DC area; apply EPA decals to incoming equipment/furniture, etc. and record information in EPA System; provide required monthly inventory reports; etc. Labor services includes, but is not limited to: process all Facilities Services Request forms and keep system updated; pack office supplies, equipment, furniture, etc. and move to new locations (Washington DC area); collect recyclables; deliver to, and set up, conference rooms with furniture, podiums, flags, and other equipment/property; handle emergency clean-up situations, including debris removal and moving furniture and equipment; pick up material for shredding and operate the shredder; deliver carpet, equipment, furniture to designated areas; install/remove window coverings, bulletin boards, signs, pictures, office fixtures, etc.; general maintenance repair services; load and unload trucks; assemble and install furniture; etc.
