Description
The US Air Force-Force Protection Battlelab, Lackland AFB, TX, is soliciting concepts for innovative research and development projects. The Force Protection Battlelab (FPB) mission is to identify innovative concepts for protecting Air Force personnel, facilities and weapon systems; rapidly measure the potential for advancing Air Force core competencies; and to explore joint warfighting by using field ingenuity, modeling, simulation, and actual employment of exploratory capabilities in operational environments. The Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) package and instructions will be available only from the BAA Information Distribution Systems (BIDS) website at https://bids.acqcenter.com/affpb. The BAA process constitutes a solicitation of concepts from those offerors capable of satisfying the Government's needs. The Government encourages nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, government laboratories, Historically Black Colleges/Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MIs), foreign contractors (pursuant to Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Subpart 225.8 and not excluded under DFARS Subparts 225.6 and 225.7, and large businesses to submit research concepts for consideration. The BAA selection process will be conducted in two phases. The package describes the full process for submission and evaluation. Potential offerors are encouraged to download the BAA package from the website. Direct any questions regarding this BAA to the POC in this synopsis. If you experience any technical difficulties when trying to download the BAA, please contact the BIDS help desk via email at bidshelp@acqcenter.com.
