- Western Area Power Administration (Western) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Occupational Medical Examination Services. The resulting contract shall be a Nonpersonal Health Care Services contract, as defined in FAR 37.101, under which the Contractor is an independent contractor. Contractor shall furnish all facilities, staff, materials and equipment necessary to provide occupational medical examinations (pre-employment/pre-placement, annual/periodic and exit) for Western employees located in or around Montrose, CO. Physicians must be qualified in occupational medicine and assisted by licensed nurses or physicians??? assistants qualified in occupational nursing. Physicians must be licensed to practice in the state in which they practice. Term of the contract is anticipated to be a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The solicitation is issued as a total Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation (Request for Quotes/RFQ) will be issued electronically on or about November 17, 2006. Quotes may be mailed, faxed or submitted electronically online or via email. Quotes will be evaluated based upon the criteria stated in the RFQ. Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be considered for award. Contractors may register at www.ccr.gov. DUNS number is required for CCR registration. Quotes are due by 4:00 PM Mountain Time on Monday, December 7, 2006.
