Amendment # 1: Amendments to the followings sections: 1) Replace page 17 from the original contract 2) Pre-proposal Meeting Attendee?s list 3) Pre-proposal meeting report 4) Replace pages 1,5,17 from the original Functional Design Description (FDD) 5) USPS Building Design Standards Supplemental Criteria 6) Sketches for Amendment # 1 7) Revision to Concepts Submittal Documents 8) HVAC design will be to comply with the R&DC standard (78 degree) 9) Please provide alternate price for the Site Drainage an Erosions Control (see folder ?Site Drainage and Erosion? for details). 10) Questions and Answers 11) See folder ?As-build? for more As-build from Parsons Construction 12) New Due date is December 7, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. The United States Postal Service intends to award a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP design/build contract to design and construct a Regional and Distribution Facility (R&DC) in Phoenix, Arizona. The scope of work for the project is estimated in the range of 8 to 9 million dollars. The site is a USPS Purchase Leased Building. The contract will be accomplished in two phases: Phase I development of 100% design drawings, Phase II will be the construction/postalization of the facility. The project is fully funded. The scope of work includes design and construction for the build out the R&DC consisting of approximately, 195,456-square-foot. Total period of design and construction for this project will be 300 calendar days. A detailed scope of work for this project is included in the solicitation documents. This request for proposal is being issued only to prequalified contractors. Primary consideration will be given to lowest overall cost rather than superior technical or management features. While the above listed nine firms have already been furnished a Solicitation Package on CD, others, i.e. subcontractors, material, equipment suppliers and other interested parties can purchase copies of the Solicitation. It is available on a Compact Disks (CDs contain complete solicitation with plans provided in plot file and drawing file format) or full set of plans and specs ?Hard Copy? with CDs may be purchased. Solicitation packages are due by 3:00 pm EST, Friday November 17, 2006 and should be mailed, using one of the services offered by the Postal Service, to Mr. Carrasquillo, Supply Management Facilities Portfolio, 4301 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300, Arlington, VA 22203-1840. The USPS encourages the participation of small, minority, and women owned business subcontracts for this project.
