- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE firm-fixed price contract to International SOS Assistance, Inc, 3600 Horizon Boulevard, Suite 300, Trevose, PA 19053-6956, for provision of emergency medical care, medical evacuation, and consultation services for Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) personnel who are traveling overseas. Immediate emergency medical services and/or evacuation services at or from worldwide locations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week must be available based on the nature of DTRA?s mission and the requirement for global travel. The following services must be provided: arrange for emergency in-patient (hospital) medical care; coordinate for the medical management of DTRA personnel admitted to emergency medical treatment facilities; arrange for DTRA personnel for the delivery of medicine, drugs, and medical supplies deemed necessary and which are not available within the duty area (temporary or permanent); arrange for the provision of emergency medical evacuation services; provide emergency and routine telephonic consultation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Consultation services shall be provided on an as needed basis to DTRA personnel and to the medical personnel in DTRA's Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Office; when requested, the contractor shall provide DTRA personnel with names, addresses, and office hours for physicians, hospitals, dentists and clinics within the area where DTRA personnel are traveling overseas; in the event of emergency in-patient admissions, the contractor shall a) utilize their own physicians or consult with attending physicians regarding treatment plans and options on a daily or more frequent basis and b) address patient concerns on a daily or more frequent basis. In addition, the contractor shall facilitate discharge of such patients. See Numbered Note 22.
