- Description
- The United States Census Bureau, Field Division, Financial Surveys Branch (FLD), intends to enter into a sole source simplified acquisition with Patricia Valle. Field Division is responsible for data collection activities for recurring and one-time demographic surveys and the decennial census. To meet this responsibility and collect data of the highest possible quality at the lowest possible cost, the FLD must plan and implement sound field operations procedures and training materials to train regional office and field representative?s staff. In support of training materials needed ongoing to adequately train and inform our regional office and field staff of field operations procedures, FLD has recognized a need for a training writer specialist. The contractor will design, develop and prepare Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) training for the Consumer Expenditure Survey (CE) from the date of award through December 31, 2007. Writing assignments will primarily require two core products: self-study and classroom trainings. Other supplement products as defined by the survey sponsor. Contractor should have knowledge and understanding of CAPI surveys and training methodologies that would facilitate Field Representatives concepts and procedures easily. The Contractor is to have expertise in field data collection, supervising, and training both experienced and new field representatives. The Contractor must have strong communication skills, creative and technical writing and editing skills. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations and no solicitation package will be issued. Interested companies having the capability to provide the above-described services should submit, in writing, their capability statement with cost information to Pamela.a.miller@census.gov or fax @301-457-8465 within 15 days of this notice. No telephone requests will be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the USCB.
