- Junction Creek Fuel Reduction and Timber Removal. Thin and remove vegetation on 117 acres on National Forest Service Land. Conventional logging equipment would be used to thin ponderosa pine, thereby reducing the fuel loading, increasing the distance between tree crowns, and creating a more natural, clumpy structure. Estimated volume is 446 CCF. Approximately 1 mile of existing temporary road will need to be reopened and 1/4 mile of new temporary road construction will have to be built to remove designated products from the treatment area. The solicitation for this project will only be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website - www.fedbizopps.gov. This project is set aside for small businesses.
