Description
This is a Two-Phase Design/Build Best Value Source Selection Solicitation to design and construct a single story MARSOC Dining Facility following the guidance contained in the UFC 4-722-01 Design: Dining Facilities. The facility shall include reinforced concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls with reinforced concrete foundation and floor slabs over a crawl space, structural steel framing and standing seam metal roof. The facility shall also include a walk-up window for fast food pickup. Interior finishes will be carpeting/porcelain and ceramic floor tile, painted gypsum wallboard/ceramic wall tile, suspended acoustical/painted gypsum wallboard ceilings. Special foundation features include a pile foundation. Electrical systems include fire alarms, exterior site and building lighting, back-up generator, and information systems. Mechanical systems include plumbing, fire protection systems, heating ventilation and air conditioning. Electrical utilities include site and building utility connections (water, sanitary and storm sewers, electrical, telephone, Local Area Network (LAN), and Cable Television (CATV)). Paving and site improvements include pavement striping, directional signage, concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, paved and lighted parking, earthwork, grading and landscaping. This project also includes demolition of five (5) houses and associated environmental mitigation. The approximate Solicitation Release Date is 22 November 2006. The solicitation is available in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet. The free Acrobat Reader, required to view the PDF files, can be downloaded from the Adobe website. The official access to the solicitation is via the Internet at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Contractors are encouraged to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NAVFAC E-Solicitations website. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220 with a Size Standard of $31,000,000.00. This project is 8(a) competitive set aside to be competed by firms serviced by SBA Offices within Region IV (AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, and TN). All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers.
