- Contractor shall provide Electrical Upgrade to replace motor control centers, electrical panelboards, and creating new electrical closets at the J. Edgar Hoover Building, 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. A firm fixed price contract will consist of a Base Bid, Option 1 and Option 2. There will be an allowance up to 12 months for security clearances and 25 months for construction under this contract. The estimated cost range for the Electrical upgrade is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This solicitation is set-aside for small businesses. Women owned businesses are encouraged to submit a bid and so state that they are women-owned. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 235310. The solicitation issuance date is November 17, 2006; and the solicitation due date is December 20, 2006. GSA is issuing this solicitation on CD-ROM only. Only individuals who are authorized in writing by a qualified small business will be permitted to pick-up a copy of the CD-ROM containing the construction specifications and contract drawings at the General Services Administration, National Capital Region, Regional Office Building, Bid Room, Room 1065, 7th & D Streets, SW, Washington, DC 20407 at a non-refundable cost of $10.00 per copy. Payment should be made by check or money order, payable to General Services Administration. A receipt will be issued for the payment. In order to be placed on the bidder?s list, potential bidders who intend to purchase a CD-ROM must inform the point of contact in writing by mail, email or fax, and include company?s name, point of contact, address, telephone and fax number. Please reference the solicitation number GS11P06YTC0370 when requesting a copy of the CD-ROM. Site visit is scheduled to take place on or about December 4, 2006. A listing of each participant must be submitted for access to the building no later than November 27, 2006, close of business.
