- Description
- The Office of Naval Research (ONR) intends to negotiate with Bell Helicopter Textron Incorporated, 600 E Hurst Blvd, Hurst, TX 76053-8030 on a sole source basis to analyze critical design areas and perform a risk assessment of the X-Hawk rotorcraft. The assessments will determine whether the X-Hawk Fancraft is a viable alternative for an urban assault air vehicle. It will evaluate the technical risks in the areas of weight, aerodynamic flight performance, and flight controls and flight aeromechanics. The estimated start date is 31 December 2006 with a period of performance of six (6) months. Responses to this notice must be received within forty-five days (18 December 2006) after publication of this notice. Please refer to Numbered Note 22.
