- Description
- The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to release the Invitation For Bid (IFB) on or about November 27, 2006 for a Signal Generator: SG-1364/U; National Stock Number (NSN) 6625-01-533-6563; referred to as SG-1364/U in the Final Performanc e Specification, TEMOD-05-05, dated 21 Nov 2006. The Signal Generator is to be procured by use of the two step sealed bidding procedure under subpart 12 and 14.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) with bid samples and required data submitted in St ep I in lieu of written technical proposals. Step I to be a Letter Request for 3 bid sample units with accessories and/or interfaces necessary for the equipment to meet full specification requirements; Step II to be under sealed bid procedures. The estim ated minimum quantity to be procured is 15 each, 13 of which may be required to be subjected to product verification (PVT). The estimated maximum quantity to be procured is 4000 each. The Government will not be obligated to purchase more than the minimu m quantity established in the resultant contract. Delivery requirements for the initial production quantities, indefinite production quantities, PVT units, and all other contractual requirements will be established in detail in Step II. Options are to b e included but not limited to data, spare parts, etc. This acquisition will be a firm fixed price (FFP), five year indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract, awarded for a period of 7 years. This solicitation will be issued utilizing f ull and open competitive procedures. Step I Letter Request will be made available upon request by potential bidders.
