Description
Market Research Questionnaire Laundry/Dry Cleaning Service The 48th Contracting Squadron will be soliciting for the above services in the near future. The laundry/dry-cleaning service shall include but not limited to the pick-up and delivery of laundry according to schedules, delivered free of all visible dirt, debris, dampness, offensive odors, mildew, cleansing chemical residue, and are properly finished and packaged. Delivered finished articles shall conform to the general accepted industry standards of quality cleanliness, finish, and appearance. The purpose of this market research it not to solicit proposals at this stage, but to determine the commerciality of this type of service, and to enable us to produce an accurate statement of work in line with standard commercial practices. We would appreciate your time and effort in providing answers to the below listed questions as part of our market research for this purpose. Whilst we appreciate that you may not be able to, or may not wish to answer all questions we would appreciate open and honest answers to those questions that you are able to answer. 1. Is this a normal commercial service? If not, how does it differ from standard commercial practice? 2. Is your company capable of performing this service? 3. Have you had similar/past contracts for the services that are being requested? If so, are they available to view? 4. If they are not available to view, what type of contract are they and what is the period of performance? 5. How are they structured e.g., cost per item, cost by weight. etc.? 6. Is there standard commercial quality control procedures implemented for this types of service, if so, what are they? 7. What are standard commercial practices for remedying substandard performance? 8. Where are the cost risks in this type of contract? 9. How could the contract be structured to minimize these risks to both contractor and customer? 10. What kinds of data need to be provided to enable a prospective contractor to bid on a fixed price contract? 11. How do you handle staffing requirements for emergency or re-performance without interrupting normal service? 12. Does your company provide facility-specific training or general instruction? 13. Are there elements of this requirement that prohibit you from bidding? Thank you for your time and attention in assisting with this market research.
