Description
The 311th Human Systems Wing/PKBA, Brooks City-Base TX. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-02. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 541710, 500 employees. The government intends to issue a purchase order to purchase two (2) each Driving Simulators, Model # STISIMDRIVE M100K; installation is not required, should contain self installation system kit. 1. The list of requirements for the driving simulation system is as follows: a. Windows PC-base system, b. Simulator components are brakes, steering wheel, monitors, etc. c. Data collection with collisions, brake & throttle, steering & handling, d. High speed graphics with texturing, shading, lighting, and high fidelity sound processing. e. Extensive model and driving scenario library with ability to create and modify models and scenarios. 2. Scenarios should be as follows: a. Interactive events, signal lights, pedestrians, and traffic with smart vehicle movements. b. Comprehensive driver and vehicle performance measures with scenario playback features. c. Optional head and eye tracking measurements. The provision at FAR Part 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR provisions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items; 52.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment; DFAR 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration and DFAR 252.232-7003, Electronic Submission of Payment Requests. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition, including subparagraphs (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), and (17). Firms that recognize and can provide the requirement described above are encouraged to identify themselves and provide proposals.
