Description

RESPONSE DATE SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 This amendment provides the following: 1. Lists part numbers of Whelen components required for the installation. 2. Extends dates to accomplish work to November 1, 2006 thru February 1, 2007. 3. Control head for siren shall be mounted with a bracket on the floor of the cab in the center. 4. Work can be accomplished at the vendors place of business, or at each Ranger District location listed. Please note on quote where work will be accomplished. 5. Successful quoter shall coordinate with Contracting Officer?s representative when work will be accomplished. 6. Response date extended to September 8, 2006, 4:30 p.m. local time. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation to supply and install lights and sirens on 14 emergency fire vehicles. Whelen LED lightbar #SL2RRRR and Whelen 100 watt full feature siren to be supplied and installed on all vehicles. Four of the vehicles will also require front Whelen LED Front Flashing Lights, Rear Weldon LED Amber Lower flashers, Backup alarm, Whelen LED Front Side Intersector Lights, and Whelen Rear 4 Light Assembly with LED Stop/Tail & Turn Lights (LED?s mounted in Channel Iron). ITEM: DESCRIPTION: SL2RRRRAA - Edge SL Series Lightbar, 54?, low current switching. Includes four Corner LINEAR 12 Directional LEDs (4 red), eight inboard LINEAR LEDs (2 white, 6 red), flashing, steady Take Downs and Alley lights. Mounting Bracket - Item # will be specific to make, model and year of vehicle light bar is being mounted on. List will be provided upon request. 295HFSA6 - 295HFS Hands free siren with Diagnostix & SI test, Single unit Siren with 9-switch Light control and high current switching, now with park kill and timed out relay. SA314P - Projector Series Siren Speaker, 100 watt. Bumper/concealed/Flange mount, 123 db Speaker, Nylon Composite. SABKT9 - Universal swivel ball type mounting bracket for SA314 speaker. Installation shall be performed at the vendor?s place of business or at each District at the locations listed below. Quote shall designate where work will be accomplished. 3 at Chemult Ranger District, 110500 Highway 97 North, Chemult, OR 97731; 1 at Chiloquin Ranger District, 38500 Highway 97 South, Chiloquin, OR 97624; 4 at Klamath Ranger District, 2819 Dahlia St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601; 3 at Bly Ranger District, 61100 Highway 140, Bly, OR 97622; 1 at Lakeview Ranger District, 18049 Highway 395, Lakeview, OR 97630, 2 at Paisley Ranger District, 303 Highway 31, Paisley, OR 97636. Supply and install shall be accomplished between November 1, 2006 ? February 1, 2007. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using the policies prescribed in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation and award prescribed in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation is a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Code is 441310 and the small business size standard is not to exceed $6.5 million annual revenue. FAR CLAUSES AND PROVISIONS LISTED BELOW ARE AVAILABLE AT: www.arnet.gov/far/ Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items applies to this requisition. Quotations will be evaluated using the evaluation procedures in FAR part 13. Quotations will be evaluated to determine the best value to the government. The following evaluation factors will be used: (1) Past Performance (CONTRACTOR TO SUBMIT REFERENCES INCLUDING CONTACT NAME AND PHONE NUMBER OF PREVIOUS CONTRACTS FOR SIMILAR INSTALLATIONS IN THE PAST 2 YEARS). (2) Pricing. FAR provision 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. OFFERORS SHALL SUBMIT A COMPLETED COPY WITH THEIR QUOTATION.
