- Description
- The 88th Contracting Squadron, located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH intends to award a Time and Materials contract to provide on-site non-personal services for processing, inventorying, maintenance, user calibrations, repair, fabrication, installation, modification, design, overhaul, operation and checkout of instrumentation, instrumentation/control systems, controls, equipment and related special devices belonging to or being maintained by the Propulsion Directorate (PR). The above systems, equipment and special devices include but are not limited to the following types of instrumentation: electronic, communications, electro-mechanical, electro-pneumatic, audio-visual, electro-optical and metrological. Work must be accomplished on both a scheduled and unscheduled basis. Additionally, the Technical Order Distribution Library, equipment maintenance and calibration, the Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system, and inventory records must be maintained. The assurance of equipment calibration shall be in compliance with PMEL guidelines and Air Force Technical Orders. The Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) inventory, the Custodian Authorization/Custody Receipt List (CA/CRL) inventory, the Technical Orders (TO) library, and the Equipment Maintenance Data System (EMDS) shall be managed, supervised and maintained. This proposed acquisition will consist of 1 base year 1 Jan 07 - 31 Dec 07 and 4 option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811219. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is 6.5M. At this time we do not anticipate setting this procurement aside for small business. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be available for downloading from the Internet on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fed Biz Opps) Website at address: www.eps.gov on or about 15 Nov 2006. No hard copies will be provided. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. CCR can be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or through the Internet address: www.ccr.gov. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
