- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make one or more offers of contract award for the provision of Advanced Occupational Education Services in the following Subjects: Business Technology, Automotive Technician, and Major Appliance Repair. The contractor will provide instructors to teach students incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution, Gilmer, West Virginia. The anticipated date of award for each requirement will be approximately January 1, 2007. Each contract performance period is anticipated to consist of a base year that extends from the effective date of award (EDOA) through 12 months, with two 12-month option years for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The estimated maximum quantities of service required for each base year and subsequent option period are as follows: Business Technology Program - 1,200 one hour sessions, Automotive Technician Training Program - 1560 one hour sessions, and Major Appliance Repair Training - 1404 one hour sessions. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 3, 2006, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is November 30, 2006. This solicitation is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-based and Community-based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
