- NASA/NSSC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) on or about November 19, 2006, to seek industry comments for a competitive solicitation for the Agency Multi-Functional Device (MFD) solicitation. After the DRFP is released and a brief comment period elapses, a Final Request for Proposal (FRFP) will be issued. All qualified contractors are encouraged to submit a proposal in response to the FRFP to be considered by the agency. The resulting digital MFD services contract shall provide high-quality MFD support, supplies, and maintenance for over 2400 MFD?s for NASA. The Government contemplates a firm fixed price type contract with indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity delivery/task orders issued to procure the supplies/services identified in the Statement of Work. Period of performance for this contract will consist of a total of five years. The basic period will be from August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2010 followed by two subsequent one year option periods. The Government intends to acquire using commercial item procedures in FAR Part 12. The Government has designated this requirement to be unrestricted full and open competition IAW FAR 6.101. The NAICS Code is 33315 and the size standard is 500 employees. The anticipated release date of the FRFP is on or about December 13, 2006, with the anticipated offer due date on or about January 16, 2007. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/NSSC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=12 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror?s responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Paper copies will not be available. This notice serves as both the synopsis and the presolicitation notification announcement. All contractual technical questions must be submitted in writing (e-mail or fax) to Eli Ouder.
