Description
NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for two (2) space-flight Ka-Band High Power RF Isolators for the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) project. The scope of work for this procurement entails the Contractor providing the facilities, personnel, services, tools, equipment, and materials to deliver the space-flight Ka-Band High Power RF Isolators in accordance with the Ka-Band High Power RF Isolators Statement of Work, Product Function Specification, and Deliverable Items List and Schedule. These items will be provided with issuance of the RFP. This procurement will be a full and open competition. NASA/GSFC anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price type contract for this effort with an anticipated award date on or about February/March 2007. The Government does not intend to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334511, with a corresponding size standard in number of employees of 750. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about November 15, 2006, with an anticipated offer closing date on or about December 14, 2006. The actual due date for receipt of offers will be stated in the prospective RFP. Upon issuance of the RFP, all qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by this agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed -- see NASA Specific Numbered Note ?B?. The prospective RFP and related documents (e.g., SOW, Specification, and DILS) for this procurement will be available via the Internet. Related documents will be provided in Microsoft Office 2000 format and these documents will be accessible on the World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
