Description

REMOVE SEDIMENT FROM ENTRANCE CHANNEL OF THE SAVANNAH HARBOR AND PLACE IT IN THE SURF ZONE OFF OF TYBEE ISLAND, GA This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is seeking potential sources to beneficially use approximately 4 million yards of predominately new work dredged material containing at least 80% sand accompanied by v arious amounts of silts and clays by placing the dredged material in the surf zone off of Tybee Island, GA. The intention is to create a 500 ft berm with elevation 4.0 ft mlw from the existing 4 ft mlw contour along the ocean-ward face of the beach and a 200 ft berm along the north face of the island facing NE toward the navigation channel. The dredge material is contained within the entrance channel of the Savannah Harbor Navigation project from -44 ft to -50 ft mlw between Station 4+000 and 30+000B. Th e Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is Y217 and North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 237990. The size standard for this NAICS is $18.5 million. No solicitation is currently available. Responses should include the following information: 1. Offerors name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and e-mail address. 2.
