- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, Wilmington Contracting Office is soliciting offers under Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. W912HN-07-T-0009 for crane/hoist inspections, load testing (when requested), certification requirements, and operator training in accordance with the scope of work provided in the solicitation. Locations of cranes and hoists are in Wilmington, NC, Boydton, VA, Bassett, VA, Wilkesboro, NC, and aboard the vessels SNELL, FRY, and MERRITT, which may be located in t he AIWW on the eastern U.S. coast. This acquisition will include a base year plus four option years. This action will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and awarded under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Proced ures. RFQ No. W912HN-07-T-0009 will be available on or about 6 November 2006. Solicitation document (including scope of work) will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vendor in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for this solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) announcement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation. The FedTeDs system does not allow for offerors to perform a search for solicitation data. All searches can be performed through the FedBizOpps system. Offers will be due on 6 December 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time and shall be mailed or hand-carried to 69 Darlington Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28403, ATTN: Jenifer Bordelon. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 541380 with a size standard of $11,000,000.00. No other notification to firms for this project will be made. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Cont ract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
