Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR TRAILER. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to add the web address to additional documentation for this Combined Synopsis Solicitation. Please copy and paste the following link into your web browser in order to view the Trailer Specification Drawings: http://procurement.nasa.gov/eps/eps_data/122552-OTHER-001-001.doc The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on October 20, 2006. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/JSC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=73 15,000 BTU. See Item 34 in the Specifications and Drawings List. Question 3A) Do you want a 12 volt power source built into the trailer, so you can run the dome lights off the generator? Answer 3B) Yes. This has been added to the Specifications and Drawings List with Item 36. Question 4A) You are going to need a service panel with the electrical features you are requesting. Do you want a 25' shoreline so you can hook up to outside power sources? Answer 4B) Yes. This has been added to the Specifications and Drawings List with Item 44. Question 5A) Do you want the step for the side door to be a pull out aluminum step or a recessed step in the interior of the trailer? Answer 5B) See the minimum requirements in the Specifications and Drawings List. Question 6A) Do you want the spare tire shipped loose, or mounted on the trailer, and if so, where do you want it mounted? Answer 6B) Mount underneath, if possible. If not underneath, then mount loose. The mount should not alter the interior dimensions of the trailer. See Item 22 of the Specification and Drawings List. Question 7A) What type of exhibits will be in this trailer? Answer 7B) Up to 4 interactive kiosks each driven by 1 pc each and 4 separate DVD-driven video displays with flat panel screens, low-voltage display lighting, and a set of stage lights for night use. Question 8A) Overall height will not remain at 8’6” if 8’ interior height is specified. Please clarify. Answer 8B) See the minimum requirements in the Specification and Drawings List. Question 9A) Shall the steps be step wells or RV style exterior-mounted steps? Answer 9B) See Answer 5B above. Question 10A) Please clarify the ramp doors, and how they should be designed to be accessible to the handicapped. Answer 10B) See the minimum requirements in the Specifications and Drawings List. You must come up with a design that meets the minimum requirements and is handicap accessible. Question 11A) Are the curb and hitch weights mandatory? Answer 11B) See the minimum requirements in the Specifications and Drawings List. Question 12A) Is the spare tire to be shipped loose? Answer 12B) See Answer 6B above. Question 13A) Please specify generator, shall it be an RV style with electric start in a box, below frame mounted fuel cell or home style with a top-mounted fuel tank? Answer 13B) See Answer 1B above. Question 14A) Please specify A/C size, 11,500 BTU, 13,500 BTU, 15,000 BTU. Answer 14B) See Answer 2B above. Question 15A) Should an internal 110V heat strip be included? Answer 15B) No. Question 16A) Should a 12V switch be mounted inside to prevent water intrusion? Answer 16B) Yes. See Item 36 in the specifications and Drawing List. Question 17A) How many roof vents should there be as they weren’t listed on the specifications. Answer 17B) A minimum of 2 in the roof or roof/wall joint. See Item 37 in the Specifications and Drawing List. Question 18A) Should there be any interior double-tube fluorescents? Answer 18B) No. Question 19A) Any windows? Answer 19B) No. Question 20A) RV style awning over entrance doors? Answer 20B) No. Question 21A) Generator - Are you going to supply and install the generator after delivery or will that need to be part of the quote and installed here? Answer 21B) See Answer 1B above. Question 22A) Please provide exact specifications of generator so that we may incorporate into the design. Answer 22B) See Answer 1B above. Question 23A) If generator is to be installed by us, please provide electrical drawings so that we may run power into the building. Answer 23B) 2 interior junction boxes are required in the trailer with independent circuit breakers in the panel. One of those junction boxes should be connected to a single quad box of 15 amp 110V AC Outlets. The other junction box is simply a termination point for future wiring. Please mount the circuit breaker panel box, the 2 junction boxes, and a single quad outlet box at the front interior side of the trailer, on the same side as the forward-most side door. No further interior/exterior electrical outlets are required. See Item 33 in the Specifications and Drawing List. Question 24A) Air Conditioner - same questions as generator. Will it definitely need placement of AC unit on top so we know where to place roof vent and or power lines? Answer 24B) See Answer 2B above and see Item 34 in the Specifications and Drawing List. Question 25A) Outlets. Is there a specific location for these items? Answer 25B) See Answer 23B for further details regarding the outlets. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to November 08, 2006 @ 5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST). Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on October 20, 2006.
