Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with AAI Corporation, Hunt Valley, MD for the development of a Calibration Measurement Requirements Summary (CMRS) and all supporting data for the MH-60R Advanced Boresight Equipment (ABE) Adapter Set, Part Number (PN) 38403-40000-10. The CMRS is required to complete US Navy Instrument Calibration Procedures (ICP) for the ABE Adapter Set to allow the US Navy to stand up calibration requirements for this equipment. The proposed acquisition is for data in support of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for which the Government does not own drawings or specifications. AAI Corporation holds the technical drawings, specifications, and data rights necessary to develop a CMRS for this set. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
