- This Scope of Work (SOW) identifies the products and services of a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to perform hydraulic steel structure (HSS) weld repair inspection work at the Harry S. Truman Power Plant. The CWI re-inspection work will be performed concurrently and in accordance with weld repair Contract W912DQ-06-P-0153. This SOW also includes option work. The CWI shall provide nondestructive examination (NDE) of three draft tube bulkheads. The CWI shall furnish all material, labor, equipment and services necessary for and incidental to NDE of fore-mentioned items. A Qualified Engineer from the Corps of Engineers (COE) will be available to address engineering issues associated with the weld repair work. The CWI shall notify the COE of any weld de ficiencies identified for repair that are not specified in the Contract. Weld inspection work not specified in the Contract or this SOW shall not be accomplished prior to approval from the COE. This includes weld deficiencies identified after sandblastin g. All requirements made in this SOW are in accordance with the 2002 AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code unless otherwise noted. All weld repair inspection shall occur prior to application of the protective vinyl paint coating. Contractual POC: Margie Slave ns 660-438-2836 extension 3606.
