- The Naval Air Systems Command announced on 13 September 2006, Reference Number N00019-06-P7-ZD30701 the intent to conduct a full and open competition for the CH-46E Crashworthy Troop Seats (CTS) for the crew chief (CC) and the aerial observer (AO) with an Industry Day sometime around the 18-20 September 2006 and then 25 October 2006. The Industry Day for the CH-46E Crashworthy Troop Seats (CTS) has now been cancelled due to time constraints associated with the milestone schedule for award. A draft Request for Proposal (RFP) is planned to be released on or around 2-3 November 2006. A two-week period will be allowed for questions and comments on this draft RFP.
