- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD intends to award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity form contract with Rolls-Royce Corporation of Indianapolis, IN to provide Power-By-the-Hour (PBTH) maintenance support for AE1107C commercial engines, site support, program management and test engineering support beginning on or about 01 December 2006. The total fleet of engines on-wing and held in inventory may number more than 600. The period of performance for this proposed contract will be up to 60 months, inclusive of options. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Due to the commercial (FAR Part 12) nature of the proposed contract action, all expressions of interest and fully supported capability statements must be received no later than 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
