- With this announcement, the Chicago District Corps of Engineers issues a Pre-solicitation Notice for its Operations and Maintenance of the Chicago Harbor Lock, in Chicago, Illinois. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all the necessary management, personnel, services, utilities, materials, supplies, equipment, and fuel, required to operate and maintain the Chicago Harbor Lock facility. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry System (NAICS) 488310 PORTS AND HARBORS OPERATIONS and it is UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. The Request For Proposal Package will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Interested Offerors can download the Request For Proposal Package from the Internet Site https://www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912P6-07-R-0002. The solicitation will be available at the above-mentioned Internet site on or about 3 November 2006. The due date for proposals will be on or about 4 December 2006 at 4:30p.m. CST, Chicago Local Time. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contract or must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at http//www.ccr.gov. The Government intends to award a FIRM-FIXED PRICE SERVICES, SERVICE CONTRACT.
