Description

DESC: 1005-00-554-6015, Part Number: 5546015, The item to procure is a SAFETY (1005-00-554-6015) F/M14 RIFLE IS A CLOSE TOLERANCE MACHINED PART MADE FROM A STEEL, ASTM 108, 1021 OR PRECISION CASTINGS WITH EXTENSIVE HEAT TREATING, CARBO-NITRIDING PROC ESS AND CHECKING GAGES ALL THAT MUST MEET APPROVAL FROM THE CONTACTING OFFICER. Requirements are a 5 year IDIQ with a minimum guaranteed quantity of 400, and a maximum contract quantity of 2,000 for the Safety, Small Arms. FOB is Destination. For use on the Rifle, 7.62mm M14-series with Bipod M2, M21. Estimated issue date is October 27, 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of thi s, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issue d. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% small busines s set-aside. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY07 requirement.
