Description
Y -- SOURCES SOUGHT The U. S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for Small Business Concerns or Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) concerns . The acquisition if for the rebuild of the Integrated Support Command (ISC), New Orleans, LA. The ISC brings together the following functions and activities under one command: financial, personnel, work-life, housing support, electronics and technical support, industrial support, equipment maintenance, facilities engineering, and a medical and dental clinic. The project consists of an Administrative facility totaling 80, 512 gross square feet (GSF), which includes 32 Barracks at 13, 025 GSF; a 43, 484 GSF combination Industrial and Shipping Receiving facility; and new Waterfront facilities with approximately 975 lf of wharf, finger piers for small boats, a travel lift, and layoff areas for staging of aids to navigation (ATON) materials. The original Integrated Support Command and Tenants New Orleans, Louisiana (ISC NOLA) was located several miles south of the current project site and was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005. The permanent ISC facility of approximately 25 acres will be located on the NASA Michoud Facility. Currently an 18?high levee and floodwall separates the Intra-coastal Waterway from the proposed project site. The anticipated budget cost is $80,000,000.00 for site preparation and construction. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 236220 and the small business size standard is $31 Million. Responses and inquiries shall only be accepted from those firms classified as a Small Business and/or HUBZONE. Large Businesses should NOT respond. Identify any areas of concern regarding labor, design/build construction projects in the Gulf Region. Your response is requested by October 30, 2006.
